2017 was the year of PlayStation 4, with exclusive games such as Persona 5 and Horizon Zero Dawn being released, which made the fanbase and the community even bigger. In 2018 Sony wants to add another one and release even more exclusive games for the PS4. Here we give you an insight into what you can expect in the next 12 months.
When it comes to games based on movies, Spider-Man will be the biggest game for the console in 2018. For fans of the comic, it will be an absolute must. First screenshots and trailers look extremely promising. There will also be a new part of God of War in which Kratos faces the Nordic gods and monsters. There is also something for fans of remakes: Shadow of the Colossus, which was released over a decade ago for PlayStation 2, will now be released improved for PS4.
A completely new game will be Detroit: Become Human, which will be released this year for PlayStation 4. The developers Quantic Dream and director David Cage, who also developed Heavy Rain, create with Detroit: Become Human a game that allows players to investigate the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence. Robots sound and look like people, but they’re not. You can influence the story with the decisions you make in the game. Sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it? If you’re into horror or survival games, Days Gone is the game for you. The Zombie game will also be released this year.
In addition to the games mentioned above, many more titles will be released exclusively for the PS4. For example, Yakuza 6, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory, Dissidia: Final Fantasy NT and some PSVR games like The Inpatient and Golem will be released. Of course, there will also be very explosive games in 2018, which will be released for all consoles and the PC. For example, Dragon Ball FighterZ is finally coming with Dragon Ball, which will be released for the PC as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
