According to an interview, the CEO of PUBG Corporation, Chang Han Kim, admitted that the “final goal” was to release the game on all platforms. On the PC and the Xbox One, there is already an early access, but Sony would have very high requirements regarding the quality of the published games.

There is no end in sight. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is becoming more and more popular. After the Battle Royale shooter left early access status in December and the game was released exclusively for Xbox One, there is no longer anymore. YouTube, Twitch and other streaming portals are full of PUBG. Unfortunately, we don’t know when PlayStation 4 players will enjoy this game.

The managing director of the development studio PUBG Corporation said in an interview with Inven:”If the opportunity arises, the final goal would be to publish the title on any platform. However, while Steam has the Early Access program and Xbox One has the game preview, Sony is different:”[…] [Sony] is very strict. There have been cases where it took 6 months to release, even though the game was already finished.”

According to Chang Han Kim, the lack of appearance on the PS4 is due to Sony’s high demands. Unfortunately, these are very strict with the allocation of early access programs. Fortnite, for example, could get early access, but other PS4 games could not. Currently, you can find Fortnite in the PlayStation Store for $39,99.

Even if it hasn’t worked yet with PlayStation 4, the developers of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds are constantly working on developing their game and adapting it to the consoles. At the moment, however, they are very busy fixing existing bugs and errors.

Chang Han Kim added:”We can think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version.” So it remains open when we can expect PUBG on the PS4.
